Having worked as a teacher, administrator, college professor, and consultant, I have learned from all of the people with whom I have worked. Each opportunity has offered a fantastic reward that the others did not. I still enjoy the creation of new products based on the needs of the districts with whom we work; every district is unique, and no two schools have ever done reform in quite the same way!
I am passionate about the work of EdFOCUS because we work in a "hands-on" fashion, being in the schools with teachers and administrators, seeing what they encounter every day. I love seeing educators have an "AH-HA moment," when they do something they did not know they could — seeing them empowered is great motivation for the work that we do.
The lasting friendships that have been formed in over 40 years in the business are among the things I value the most.
